Learn about our ongoing mowing and burning trials at the farm, and how the lessons learned from growing native bunchgrasses at our seed farm can help land stewards improve their management in wildlands.
On November 21, 2023, Hedgerow Farms partnered with the Sacramento Tree Foundation and the City of Elk Grove Parks Department for a day of planting California native wildflowers along the Franklin Creek Trail in Elk Grove. Learn more about this project here!

Julia Michaels, Ph.D.
Julia Michaels completed her Ph.D. in Ecology at U.C. Davis and has 10 years of experience as a Restoration Ecologist. She oversees special projects for state, federal, and nonprofit organizations, including special wildland collections, contract grows, and the design of custom seed mixes.
