Elk Grove Seeding Event
On November 21, 2023, Hedgerow Farms partnered with the Sacramento Tree Foundation and the City of Elk Grove Parks Department for a day of planting California native wildflowers along the Franklin Creek Trail in Elk Grove.

We planted over 15 species of wildflowers and grasses, including lupine, poppy, mugwort, purple needlegrass, and even the endemic CA hibiscus!

We also planted over 300 showy milkweed (Asclepias speciosa) rhizomes that will emerge and bloom in the early summer.

Update: by January thousands, of the lupine wildflowers that we planted are already germinating with the late winter rains!
